The site meeting was pretty boring, but Mr Boss was busy deciding on things, and running the meeting. Engineers, thou art at the mercy of architects! Mahahaha. The Clerk of Work was this HUGE fattalicious guy who smells of smoke, and breathes with a wheezing sound. I was beside myself, praying and praying he wouldn’t have a cardiac and die.

The actual site, precarious. Very potentially dangerous.

Surprisingly, I didn’t know what to say when you called. All that I wanted to, just floated away and evaporated. All because you started talking, and didn’t stop. And everything you said made me want to cry, so I spent most of our conversation chewing back tears.

I can’t talk to you like this. I need time, like in Penang – we had loads then. I needed to talk and cry between intervals while you hold me. Just like our second beginning, remember? But we didn’t have time now, and I wasn’t going to waste it by going to pieces.

Strong… haha. I will try love, I will TRY.

Everything we’ve been through, (has it been just five months?) it’s like a crash course in understanding. It’s a beautiful morning, perfect. He’s comforting us, see?

I have to say our government is rather shrewd. They arranged for the Malaysian team to practice first, so they’d have their share of glory too. Unfortunately, the predominantly ManU crowd didn’t show much enthusiasm, except for when the balls were (accidently) kicked off the field and onto the track. Other than that the crowd did clap and cheer, for reasons a football noob such as myself can never comprehend.

It’s painfully obvious when a show of support that is born out of politeness and nothing more, and for the Malaysian team, that was exactly the case.

I almost feel sorry for them.

Be as creative as you like:

A girl is lying down, doesn’t appear to be watching the television, even though it is turned on. It doesn’t appear to be a typical Asian (or Malaysian, at least) home. The telly is placed at a really odd height, not ideal for watching, especially if the household seats on couches. The girl is probably upset that her live-in boyfriend likes the television low, wonders if his brain is set at a right angle. If so, she contemplates, with trepidition, on spending the rest of her life with this man. If not, she’s still upset anyway. The shelves are too cluttered, and looking at the layout gives her a migraine. 

If I were there, I’d make her look at the portion of the wall till she..

1) Runs out screaming, and/or
2) Renovates with a jackhammer, and/or
3) Calls her boyfriend and yells at him and/or
4) Kill me out of frustration and/or
5) Commit suicide

With so many options, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out, though I might lose a friend, end up in prison, or worse, dead.

‘Cepat! Nak tengok Madagascarrrr..’ my younger sons cried. So I obliged.

All were pinned, in the car. Remember secondary Physics? The glass breaks into circular shapes, very difficult to shatter, especially from the outside.

From the inside, it’s not so difficult… Because my 3-year-old cousin superman-ed out, and basically skidded on his buttock right into a drain.

The moral of the story is :

1)      Make sure your car has FREEGIN AIRBAGS, ABS, and all that shit.

2)      Stick to the main highways, especially at night. The kampong roads have ‘kerbau’ crossing, road-kill carcasses, the rare elephant crossing, snakes (my dad saw a king cobra on the road), and sometimes, the ‘kerbau’ sleep right in the middle of the road.

3)      DON’T RUSH. Especially for Madagascar. padah

It wasn’t a very difficult test, any respectable Literature (big ‘L’!) student can score 100%. And keep your glossaries away from you! Shall we change their statistics? =p

Anyway, a good revision site.

Anyhow, something very interesting I noticed…

1. Most foreigners (ang moh’s especially) rated the staff as friendly and helpful, and the accomodation adequate.

2. Most Malaysians commented on the staff (the receptionist especially) as unsmiling, unhelpful, and their accomodation sucky.

Had a Good Stay At Hotel, But Were Late Checking Us In On arrival. Close To Transport, Short Bus Trip To Night Market. Breakfast Was Excellent . Crossing Road Outfront Was A Challenge . Aircon In Room Could Of Been Cooler, And Bathroom Sink Would Not Hold Water Kept running Away. But Overall Good Stay At Hotel, With Pleasant Staff. Nice To Relax

Hotel staff is kind enough to allow us to take a look at the Seaview room. Unfortunately its at low floor and the view is blocked by trees. By accident discovered that 2nd floor is seldom used, therefore its clean, dry and without cigarette smell. Took the Hillview room which is a bit noisy due to the traffic. The beds are clean and comfortable, acceptable for young kids. Forget about house keeping at night. Nobody picks up the phone. However you will get much better service in the day.

Beach is right downstairs – its perfect for my kids. The swimming pool is also a nice place to hang out. Kid’s club is also well equipped.

Parking is limited especially when there’s functions.

Breakfast is very much Malay and local food.

I would not recommend this hotel .
The room is old ,rusty,dirty, scruffy and very tired.  —-→ ooo, personification!
The carpet = terrible smell and dirty .
Very uncomfortable stay.
Twin bedded room , the bed is very small.

However, the locations is very nice.
The beach is outside the hotel..nice beach .

The pool is small and the temperature of the pool is very low…very cool…

The lobby decorations and interior is very modern but the room is very terrible…

Would not recommend people to stay here…..

 Well, if you’re a student…

1) Cheap 3 star hotels should be worshipped.

2) Rusty lamps shouldn’t worry you (so what, you think it’s 5 star ah?). Mouldy bathrooms are somewhat spine-chilling though.

3) Unfriendly staff? WHO CARES!? ‘Sucks to be youuuu’
